Hexagonal-Base Bowl

Size (width x height): 4-1/4" x 2-7/8"

Glazing*: Tomato red was poured inside, and the outside was dipped almost entirely in spodumene;
then the rim was dipped in shiny, runny brown.

This was an early piece that wasn't properly centered when I began opening the bowl. Consequently, the wall became lop-sided.
The base was also extremely thick. I pulled the upper wall out to exaggerate it's eccentricity, and I used a knife to cut big chunks off the base.

*Note that glazes are identified by the names used in the Santa Fe College Pottery Studio; they are not universally recognized glaze names.
